Chevron is one of the world’s leading integrated energy companies and the second largest in the United States. Since 2016, CCN has served as Chevron’s digital partner in anti-counterfeiting and traceability for lubricants, providing online coding association and data collection to realize a full-chain product traceability management system. The collaboration continues to this day.

“We extend our gratitude to CCN and all members of the Chevron project support team. In 2022, despite challenges posed by the pandemic in Shanghai, they demonstrated outstanding performance in project advancement and daily services. They proactively identified system issues, proposed and implemented solutions, and enhanced system performance.”

Additionally, almost all lubricant companies encounter issues with cross-regional sales diversion during product distribution. Such "diversion" not only disrupts market order but also causes substantial economic losses to lubricant enterprises. Inadequate prevention and management of diversion practices can severely impact the health and sustainable development of the market.

QR Code Anti-Counterfeiting and Anti-Diversion Solution

Chevron has an extensive sales network across China, with lubricant production plants in Tianjin and Shanghai. Products such as Chevron Havoline, Delo lubricants, and Techron fuel system cleaners have gained strong consumer trust due to their excellent quality and performance.

However, highly recognized and consistently popular brands are often targeted by unscrupulous sellers. To combat diversion, counterfeiting, and illegal sales, Chevron partnered with CCN in 2016 to establish a QR code-based anti-counterfeiting and anti-diversion platform.

CCN implements item-carton-pallet coding and data association for Chevron's lubricant products, enabling data capture during production and packaging. Professional scanning equipment is used for warehouse receiving and shipping operations. All collected data is synchronized with Chevron's central data system, achieving end-to-end visual management across production, shipping, logistics, and sales.

Simultaneously, production data is integrated into CCN's data platform to manage the activation of anti-counterfeiting codes. This provides consumers with convenient anti-counterfeiting verification services via mobile phones or websites.
